Application route
Turkmen citizens need a visa. Apply through the consulate responsible for your main destination and residence. Germany’s embassy in Ashgabat accepts eligible local applications by appointment.
What to prepare
Passport valid three months beyond departure, application, photograph, medical insurance, accommodation, finances and evidence of return. The competent consulate supplies the full checklist.
Timing and your participation
Normally 15 days, potentially 45; appointment waiting is additional. Fingerprints are generally collected, with exemptions.
Before you apply
Representation differs by destination. Do not assume every European application can be lodged in Ashgabat.
